I have purchased praj industries shares (370 shares @ 97.00 )on 12th Oct 2009. As per their brokerage rate, IIL should have charged me 05 paisa per share. But i got a trade contract email from IIL saying that the brokerage they have charged me is 49paisa per share.
When i chatted with the customer service, they say that i have done a delivery trade, so they have charged me 49 paisa per share , but till now i havenot sold the shares, its still there in my holdings. Then how can they charge me for delivery.
The cusotmer support team is so irresponsible, tht they dont bother to reply properly also. they reply as if they are doing some favour on me. Is this customer support you are providing… Dont spoil India’s name by prefixing it to your company’s name. Better change the company name to FRUAD INFOLINE….
I need the refund of my money as early as possible, else i have to file a case in consumer count. I know this might not be a new thing for you cheaters….
Refund my money and go to HELL>..

There are two rates, one for delivery and the other for intra-day trades. Unless you buy and sell on the same day / trading session (Intra-day meaning both BUY and SELL of the same scrip on the same day), it is a DELIVERY and will be charges at the rates prevailing, irrespective of whether it was a BUY or a SELL.
If you check your demat account, I’m sure that you will find that the shares have been DELIVERED to your account. If you BUY and SELL the same scrip on the same day, the shares are not delivered to your demat account and intra-day charges are all that are likely to be levied.
I believe the rate is 0.5%. So that works around to 48.5 paise per share, rounded off to 49 paise. Similarly when you sell, you will be charged the same amount of 49 paise per share. I believe this confusion has occurred due to a misunderstanding of the term ‘Delivery’. Even if you had used any other brokerage firm, it would be the Delivery charges that would be levied on this particular transaction. You can check this out with any other brokerage firm.
I’m not associated with India Infoline in anyway, but I just wanted to clear it up for you. Hope you understand the difference now. Happy trading!
